Transrotor decided that it was time to design, create and build their own tonearm.

For Transrotor there was no lack of practical experience with the best tonearms in the world as well as relevant knowledge and access to the most modern production methods available. Transrotor wrote ease of use and simple adjustability at the top of the specification list.

The success story of the legendary TRA 9 tonearm from Transrotor has already been written. The idea of ​​bringing another tonearm model onto the market for discerning record listeners was already germinating back then. This has been achieved perfectly with the new, solid and precisely manufactured TRA STUDIO (TRA 9S) tonearm.

The ZET 1 has a solid ground plate made out of Acrylate, a smooth plate disc bearing made of bronze and a plate disc out of metal with resonance dampening Acrylate-plating. 

The effective double synchrone motor is equipped with an external power supply.

The sound of the ZET is uniquely neutral. That means that nothing is added to the sound (bitingness or boredom). It\'s sound characteristics are mirrored in it\'s design appearance: a harmonic shape without any disruptive rough edges.

The heavy chassis, with 2 black acrylic carbonate discs enclosing a plate of polished aluminium, lies on adjustable spikes.
The feet under the spikes allow an optional hard or smooth coupling of the drive.

The 10 kg turntable is traditionally rotated from a full aluminium alloy. On its underside a wave profile provides for the suppression of unwanted material resonances.
