The concept of having the best of both transistors and tubes aims to bring classic 'tube warmth' to the audio while retaining the robust durability of transistors. It is Vincent's belief that implementing valve amplification in at least one part of the system is hugely beneficial to the sound experience.

The characteristics of tube/valve audio equipment has been known for a long time. Their sound has supporters in every realm of music production and enjoyment. Even in audio source devices, there are amplifier circuits. With these, the sound can be greatly improved by sophisticated amplifier circuitry. The CD-200 was designed to perfectly match the SV-200 integrated amplifier. Both units feature two 6N1 tubes to enhance the musicality of their audio, and both units are the same compact size. Place them side by side or stacked in tower formation, the CD-200 and SV-200 are perfect for smaller systems that are a little more discreet.
