Unison Research Unico CD Due CD/DAC

Unison Research's CD DUE combines the principles of a high-end DAC and CD player and incorporates them within one aesthetically elegant box. Making the most of UR's prestigious level of hifi construction knowledge, quality valve technology and uncompromising build quality, the final result is a truly beautiful piece of equipment that remains true to the original sound source, with every level of warmth and nuance left intact

The Unico CD DUE has a number of connections on offer, including USB S/PDIF, AES/EBU and TOSLink optical supporting 24-bit/192kHz (240bit 96kHz from the optical connection). The CD DUE is armed and ready for today's smart-device generation and allows for a direct wireless connection via lossless aptX Bluetooth. Coaxial S/PDIF, AES/EBU and Optical outputs are features also, as well as unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR. 

The CD drive consists of a sleek design, encased within a thick metal shielding. This isolates the unit from the rest of the circuitry, ensuring that any potential resonance of unwanted vibration is not passed through the system. Four ECC83 valves have been utilised by Unison Research for this unit, laid out in an innovative Double Triode, pure class A differential totem pole configuration, as can be found with the company's critically acclaimed Unico 50 and Unico 90 amplifiers.
