The QR 7 is Audiovector’s new flagship in the QR series, and it’s designed with a very clear purpose – to make music fun and playable again! Its big and vibrant sound transports you to the concert hall or nightclub of your dreams. It’s an incredibly versatile speaker that lets you hear everything from rock to classical music, and its downward Q-reflex port allows it to be placed closer to the wall than conventional speakers. So even though QR 7 is a big speaker, it’s still living room friendly and able to deliver excellent sound in even smaller rooms.

While the QR 7 has a huge, room-filling sound, it is also an extremely refined speaker that has been developed, designed and handcrafted at Audiovector’s headquarters here in Denmark. It has a dynamic and musical capability, and then it has the latest in speaker technologies to deliver an outstanding performance.

The QR 7’s impressive enclosure houses two massive, air-shifting 8-inch drivers and a newly developed crossover that combine to create a hyper-dynamic, neutral-sounding speaker with a wide, open soundstage. It’s a full 3-way system with dual Pure Piston bass units with sandwich diaphragms, a 6-inch midrange and Audiovector’s fast and agile Air Motion Transformer tweeter. Due to its light impedance load and high efficiency of 90.5dB, it is easily driven and a perfect match for both solid state and tube amplifiers. This is a speaker designed for inspiring and refreshing listening sessions.

One of Audiovector’s hallmarks is that they design their drivers themselves, and then get the best suppliers to build them. In this way, they ensure that they co-design their drive units in combination with their crossovers. The combination of a low hysteresis voice coil technology, large powerful magnets, rigid turbulence damping baskets and sandwich diaphragms made of two layers of aluminium, gives them an opportunity to create a richer, clearer and more vivid sound.

Designed for strength and elegant aesthetics

The QR 7’s cabinet has been generously braced and made from high-density hardwood (HDF), to create the perfect combination of superior strength, low resonance and elegant aesthetics. The tweeter’s faceplates are made from a single piece of aerospace-grade aluminium. They are precision machined, glass blown, brushed and then anodised in a beautiful tungsten titanium grey colour. The rose-gold dispersion mesh acts as an S-Stop filter and improves driver integration.

The QR 7 perfectly matches its siblings, and with the addition of the powerful QR Sub, the detailed QR Center and the easily placed QR Wall, Audiovector can offer a potent and powerful home theater system.
