Melody Pro-88
The MK88 is a KT88 tube amplifier with 32W per channel operating in Class A. It uses point to point wiring, limiting the derogation of the sound as it passes through the amplifier. The volume control is linear & there is an easy to use remote volume control.
The Melody Pro-88’s power and dynamics are designed to achieve a high-impact soundstage. The KT 88 tube’s are capable of very high output while maintaining a wide and balanced dynamic range; this is an amplifier for those who want refined power!
With four RCA inputs but no output, subwoofer hounds will parallel up on the speaker connections which here sport the usual 8/4-ohm option. The power mains is on the left side ahead of its bias trim pots. Aside from volume and source selection controls, the fascia is blessedly free of buttons and only adds a low orange power LED and above it the infra-red eye for the volume up/down and mute remote wand. The 6BA11 of the Pro 88 are original RCA issue, the XF184 Mullard. Only the KT88 are current Shuguang production, features a removable gloss-black metal tube cage
