Introducing a range of Moving Coil Cartridges from Japan - Hana - 華 (hana means “brilliant and gorgeous” in Japanese). The Hana low and high output moving coil cartridges have been winning reviewer praise and awards since their introduction to the UK in 2015.

Hana MC Phono Cartridges use high rigidity aluminium cantilevers and cross-shaped armatures, providing a ‘brilliant and gorgeous’ sound at competitive price points for Moving Coil (MC) Cartridges of this sound quality.

Manufactured by Excel Sound Corporation, a 50 year old company based in Tokyo, specialising in MC cartridges, with particular expertise in high output MC cartridges and OEM cartridge parts manufacture and OEM cartridge supply. They are perhaps seen as one of those slightly underground Japanese companies - who certainly will not reveal which cartridge brands they have manufactured for over the years.

The Hana SL Moving Coil cartridge has a nude natural diamond Shibata-stylus, capable of excellent high frequency response, and use high rigidity aluminum cantilevers with cross-shaped armatures offering supreme transparency and excellent trackability. The body is manufactured from a composite low resonance plastic material in black.

The SL (Shibata Low output) offers 0.5mv/1KHz output.
