Built for Rega setups and equipped with an improved engine to provide a high level of sonic accuracy and dynamic thrust, 2MR 78 will re-introduce you to some of your favorite older recordings. Because 78RPM records require a larger stylus profile for accurate playback, the 2MR 78 features a spherical diamond stylus to ensure that you won't miss a beat.

This cartridge also uses a strapped output to deliver the same output signal from both sets of pole pins, effectively eliminating the need for mono-specific equipment and making it possible to enjoy mono reproduction on any stereo system.

Featuring a specially designed narrow cartridge housing tailored for Rega turntables and tonearms that require low form-factor cartridges, 2MR 78 seamlessly integrates with Rega platforms without any need for modifications or spacers under the tonearm. Best of all, it retains every performance and material characteristic of the original, highly acclaimed 2M 78. It's also compatible with Ortofon 2M replacement styli and mounts easily and quickly, via two screws.
