Phono One was for many years one of the most appreciated models in the Unison Research Catalogue. It has now been completely renewed and improved, although its look of elegant and timeless simplicity remains the same.
An all-tube design with elastic suspension, it uses five ECC83 double triode valves in a parallel configuration to give excellent low noise and distortion characteristics. Cross-talk also is extremely low at -90dB. Overall gain is 54dB, and switchable resistance and capacitance loading make it suitable for all MM and most MC cartridges.
The sound is pure, with supreme natural detail and great clarity. Truly a top class phono stage.
