Taking advantage of a neat R2R architecture. Integrating the best current technologies, the device benefits from a low-noise power supply, a FIFO buffer, signal processing by FPGA and a FIR filter.

A more than complete connection system

DSD1024, PCM1536 Supports On USB & I2S Input (the audio source needs to be compatible with the native interface). The Musician Pegasus provides you with most of the connections common to today's HiFi devices. We thus find at the input of USB-B, I2S via HDMI LVDS, AES/EBU, Toslink Optics and Coaxial. On the output side, the device offers unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR, the latter output being obviously recommended to take advantage of the full potential of the device.

Warm Tips

The burn-in time of PEGASUS DACs is one week: Standby or Powered on 24/7 (300 hours), you will get the best performance after the enough aging hours.

Connecting RCA or XLR output simultaneously is not recommended, it will degrade the sound quality because they are shared. Even if the downstream equipment is on/off, the output signal will still be transmitted to the input stage of the downstream device.

If possible, please use the XLR output. As a ture balanced DAC, the XLR output of PEGASUS will be more superior.
